An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 Engines & components (i.e. batteries, wheels and brakes) at the Wagga Wagga workshop.
- Ensuring all maintenance work is performed to the highest standard, in a timely manner and in accordance with the appropriate approved data
- Upkeep of workshop & equipment
- Completion of appropriate documentation
- Travel to other ports to assist with on wing engine maintenance
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Cert 4 in a mechanical trade
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- A demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines.
- Working knowledge of WHS procedures
- A valid driver’s licence
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Competent computer skills
- Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
- Must be willing to relocate to Wagga Wagga N.S.W.
- High level of visual acuity
Preferred Selection Criteria:
- Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills-mechanical
- CASA B1.1 Licence
- GE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experience
- Knowledge of CASA regulations
Conditions:
Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.
